About Joy...

Writing primarily for the pop and contemporary country genres, Joy’s lyrics have depth of soul married with memorable hooks that resonate universally. You will find artfully crafted images and fresh perspectives drawing you in. Whether it is the tenderness of “I Will Care For You”, the desperation of “Religion Can You Find Me” or the hope in “You Comfort Me” her writing skillfully speaks to the heart in everyday moments.

Joy’s co-writing credits include working with multi-platinum recorded songwriter Andrea Stolpe, Emmy award winner Leonard Wolf, actor and musician Jon Hensley, Long Reef lead guitarist Nick Miller and award winning songwriter and performer Beth Kille.

In addition to having a Masters Degree in Business Administration, she holds a Master Certificate in Songwriting and a Specialist Certificate in lyric writing from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. While completing her program she was awarded the 2008 Big & Rich Celebrity Scholarship.

Joy is also a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and is a 2010-2011 ASCAPLUS award winner. She is a member of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI) and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.
